🔭 What is a Lunar Eclipse?
A lunar eclipse happens when 🌍 Earth comes directly between the Sun ☀ and the Moon 🌕, casting its shadow on the Moon.
Types of lunar eclipses:
1️⃣ Penumbral – Subtle shading, hard to notice 👀
2️⃣ Partial – Only part of the Moon turns dark 🌗
3️⃣ Total – The entire Moon enters Earth’s shadow and glows red/orange ❤️🧡 (Blood Moon effect)

Why Does the Moon Turn Red?
During a total eclipse, sunlight passes through Earth’s atmosphere 🌍. The atmosphere filters out blue light and bends red/orange light toward the Moon 🌕 — the same reason sunsets 🌅 look red! This is called Rayleigh scattering.
